End of Term Workshops and Trips
As the term drew to an end, we were delighted to put on an array of workshops and trips for those not taking part in the annual show including some sessions with visiting professionals.
Putting On A Show
As ever, the whole school came together to create and support this year’s brilliant production of the hit musical, 42nd Street, directed by professional dancer and choreographer, Anna Griffith.
Sports Day
We shared a wonderful sports day at Wimbledon Park Athletics Track with a huge turn out from parents, staff and pupils. We were blessed with great weather and the sun shone on the activities, while parents enjoyed refreshments including a strawberry cream tea.
A Farm in Battersea
Just after half term, our Year 7 pupils visited Farm 2 City at Providence House, a local youth club with links to Shallowford Farm in Devon. Their time coincided with a visit from HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, who was happy to chat with the students and took time for photographs.
Success in Rugby
Our Year 7 and 8 mixed team of boys took part in the ISA England touch rugby tournament in Reigate in May, coming second overall and only losing out to a school whose main sport is rugby.
Trip to Paris
A group of over 30 pupils enjoyed a trip to Paris in March to learn about French culture, art and science.
Debate Competition
At Thames we firmly believe that debating is an essential life skill that helps children develop confidence, learn to think on their feet, and argue their point of view.
Biannual Careers Fair
Last Thursday 2nd March we were delighted to host our biannual Careers Fair at our brand new, purpose-built premises on Grant Road, Battersea.
£9,700 Raised For Charity
