“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education.”
Martin Luther King
Thames Christian School is a co-educational independent school for pupils aged 11-18. At Thames the individual is seen first and we work hard to create a learning environment that delivers positive outcomes for each and every pupil.
Fundamental to Thames is the desire for pupils to understand their innate value and so become well rounded, compassionate young people who embrace good character, personal responsibility and academic excellence. We intend for our pupils to become wise leaders who nurture their skills and talents in preparation for life beyond school.
We are delighted that Thames was judged Excellent in all categories by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in its Educational Quality Inspection in April 2022.

Thames pupils enjoy academic challenges every day and are inspired to achieve their best. Staff are passionate about their subjects, bringing academic rigour to their teaching.
