Putting On A Show

As ever, the whole school came together to create and support this year’s brilliant production of the hit musical, 42nd Street, directed by professional dancer and choreographer, Anna Griffith.

Anna trained at Italia Conti and has six years experience in choreography and dance. Dr Paul Mitchell, director of music, said that he had never worked with a better cast and Eloise, Talia and Rufus gave outstanding performances as lead characters Peggy Sawyer, Dorothy Brock and Julian Marsh.

Our investment in the performing arts facilities continues to pay dividends, with the dedicated rehearsal and performance space, professional sound and lighting, which all inspire commitment from those involved.

There were three performances in total and guests included the elderly residents of a local care home, pupils from one of our feeder schools, as well as our own pupils, parents, prospective parents and others connected with the school. The cast was accompanied by a small group of professional musicians.

We are already excited about next year’s production, and our annual show continues to draw in prospective pupils with a love of musical theatre.
