Biannual Careers Fair

Last Thursday 2nd March we were delighted to host our biannual Careers Fair at our brand new, purpose-built premises on Grant Road, Battersea. At Thames we see the individual first and we work hard to create a learning environment that delivers positive outcomes.

We firmly believe that every pupil should be given the opportunity find that talent, pursue their passions and hone their skills for life after school. This includes preparing our students whether they are looking to start a degree or seeking out work experience.

Some of our pupils have a clear line of sight when it comes to knowing what they want to do when they leave school - but for others it's not that straightforward. All the professionals that joined us for our Careers Fair were on hand to provide huge amounts of information and first-hand experience from different sectors, giving our Year 9s, Year 10s and Year 11s plenty of food for thought.

We are fortunate enough to have the space to be able to host a wide range of businesses and showcase to our pupils over 35 vastly different potential professions for them to explore and find out more about. From creative choices such as Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Design, Architecture and Motion and Digital Design, to academic choices including Banking, Neurosurgery and Engineering, the hall was packed and buzzing with pupils quizzing the professionals about what it takes to make it in their chosen fields.

We'd like to thank all the volunteers, businesses and staff who helped make the evening such a huge success.
