Step Up for Change! Thames Launches the Cross Country 2024 Fundraising Challenge to Empower Girls in Tanzania and Fight Human Trafficking

This week we are excited to announce our 2024 fundraising projects, supporting Go MAD in Tanzania and A21 Campaign. This year, our goal is to empower vulnerable communities by focusing on girls’ education in Tanzania and assisting victims of human trafficking worldwide. In Tanzania, we’re aiming to raise £5,500 to build a new toilet block at Mkirira Secondary School, giving girls access to safe, clean facilities and helping them stay in school. Additionally, we’re seeking £950 to fund feminine hygiene products and menstrual education, essential resources that enable girls to attend school consistently. Alongside this, our target of £2,500 for the A21 Campaign will help support their Crisis Care centres, which provide housing, medical and psychological care, and legal assistance to survivors of human trafficking. Last year, our students raised over £12,000 for similar causes—a tremendous achievement. This year, we’re challenging each student to make an impact again by gathering sponsorships from family, friends, and the community. Every student can help reach our targets, and every lap completed and pound raised will support those in need. We’ll be awarding prizes for the top fundraising class and for individuals raising over £150. Let’s make a difference together!
