Thames Takes the Stage: A Purr-fect Night of Music and Magic!

Thames Christian School’s Annual Performing Arts Evening on Thursday, 7 November, brought together students from Years 7 to 11 showcasing the school’s largest-ever choir and instrumental ensemble. This year's programme included a tribute to the musical Cats, based on Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, a whimsical collection of poems by T.S. Eliot. Highlights from Cats included Talia from Year 10, who delivered a powerful rendition of "Memory," while Tenzin brought energy to the role of "The Rum Tum Tugger." Isaac joined an ensemble to perform "Mr. Mistoffelees," capturing the playful spirit of Eliot's classic characters. The Year 7 choir sang “Cat and Mice Games” and a spirited “Swing Low Medley,” adding a vibrant touch to the evening. With students across year groups contributing their talents, the event was a true celebration of the school’s performing arts programme. The impressive turnout and the range of performances made this Annual Performing Arts Evening a memorable experience setting a new benchmark in scale and talent for future years.
