Rome Trip: Exploring the Art, Culture and History of Ancient Rome
We are delighted to welcome home our pupils from Years 8-11 who have just returned from a four-day, three-night trip to the Eternal City, Rome. The trip focused on exploring the city’s rich blend of art, culture and Ancient Roman history and was jam-packed with educational experiences, offering students a real-world connection to what they've studied in the classroom. From a guided tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum with a local archaeologist to a breathtaking visit to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, the trip was packed with educational highlights allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of Rome’s influence on art and culture. But it wasn’t all about history! There was plenty of time for fun, including a gelato-making workshop and an impromptu football match in the local park making for an unforgettable experience.
