Year 13 Art Students Inspired by National Portrait Gallery Visit

This week our Year 13 A Level Art students visited the National Portrait Gallery in London. The highlight of the afternoon was the Summer Exhibition, featuring the renowned Herbert Smith collection. His unique approach to portraiture and sculpture captivated the students, offering fresh inspiration for their own creative work. The visit allowed students to explore a range of artistic styles and approaches, deepening their understanding of art’s power to convey emotion and identity. It was an enriching experience that will influence their A Level projects as they prepare for final exams.
