Thames Carol Concert: A Magical Start to Christmas
Our annual Christmas Carol Service was a fantastic celebration of music, scripture and community, setting the perfect tone for the festive season ahead. The evening opened with George's solo of 'Once in Royal David’s City', beautifully leading the congregation into the first carol. The choir shone in their rendition of 'Three Jazz Carols', composed by Dr Mitchell and featuring Michael Anning on saxophone. The staff choir brought traditional charm and festive energy with 'Go Tell It On The Mountain' and Gaudete. Highlights included the string ensemble’s performance of 'Corelli’s Christmas Concerto' and the Year 7 choir’s lively 'Jazz Gloria'.
A big thank you to Dr Mitchell, Mr Smith and everyone involved for creating such a special evening. Wishing you a joyful Christmas break with your families. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, 7 January 2025.
