Thomas Triumphs at Oxford Poetry of Science & Wins People’s Choice Award

We are incredibly proud to announce that Thomas, Year 7, was selected as a finalist in the Oxford Poetry of Science competition. On 12th October, Thomas had the incredible opportunity to visit Oxford, where he read his poem to an audience during the Science and Ideas Festival. The event featured a wide array of poetry styles, from acrostic and shape poems to sonnets and free verse, all inspired by scientific themes. Hosted by 2019 Young People’s Laureate for London, Theresa Lola, the event celebrated the creativity of young poets, including several finalists from the IF Oxford Poetry of Science competition. The winning poem was chosen through a public vote, and we are delighted to share that Thomas won the prestigious People's Choice award!
