Year 12 Futures: Exploring Law & City Careers Through Educational Excursions

Our Year 12 cohort recently took part in two enriching educational trips, expanding their horizons and gaining invaluable insights into potential career paths.

At BNP Paribas, students had the opportunity to engage with the early careers recruitment team, receiving comprehensive training on crafting outstanding applications and CVs. They then went on to meet with graduates and apprentices across various domains such as software & IT support, the Global Markets trading floor, and sales assistance, providing them with first-hand knowledge of different professional roles within the organisation.

At the Law Courts, our students visited Inner Temple, Middle Temple, and the High Court, accompanied by guide Simon Howarth KC, who shared his experiences as a barrister. The highlight of the trip was an incredible lunch at the historic Inner Temple Dining Hall, immersing the students in the prestigious environment of legal practice.

These educational excursions not only broadened the students' understanding of potential career paths but also provided them with practical skills and inspiration for life beyond Thames.
