Thames Christian School’s Annual Performance Showcase: A Celebration of Talent
On Thursday 20th February, we held our highly anticipated Performance Arts Evening, showcasing work done in class and featuring an array of performances. The event was a celebration of creativity, skill and passion, with students demonstrating their exceptional talents in voice, drama and music.
The evening featured a variety of pieces, including 'Someone To Watch Over Me' performed by Talia year 10, and 'When I Grow Up' from Matilda, sung by Anna year 8. The drama section was equally impressive, with a memorable performances of A History of Paper by Oliver Emmanuel, and 'This Is Jack, Leave A Message, Alright?' by Jimmy Osborne, starring Oscar, Ava and Margaux, year 8 with Dylan and Aleksei, year 9. Some talented year 7 girls performed the radio play by Fiona Evans entitled 'The Startling Truths of Old World Sparrows.'
Instrumental performances also shone, including Por Una Cabeza by Alfredo Le Pera, beautifully played by Caleb, year 11, on the viola. The audience was also treated to a powerful rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from Les Misérables by Hollie year 8.
The evening was not only a showcase of individual talent but also a testament to the dedication of students and staff in fostering the arts at Thames Christian School. During the interval, guests enjoyed refreshments in the foyer, making for an unforgettable evening.
