Year 7 Taster Day at Thames Christian School
This week we were delighted to welcome 29 enthusiastic Year 7 pupils from a diverse range of primary schools for an immersive taster day. Our aim is to give incoming pupils a glimpse of the vibrant academic and social life they will experience when they start in September. The day kicked off with a warm welcome from the staff, followed by an array of engaging sessions designed to ignite their curiosity and passion for learning. Pupils participated in taster sessions across various subjects, including Maths, Science, Art, Creative Writing, History, and Geography. These sessions were conducted in our state-of-the-art facilities, providing the students with a first-hand experience of the amazing resources available at Thames Christian School. One of the highlights of the day was the mug decorating activity, where the incoming Year 7s showcased their creativity and took home a personalised memento of their day. This activity not only allowed them to express their artistic skills but also served as an icebreaker, helping them to make new friends and feel more comfortable in their new environment. The day also included a delicious lunch, giving the pupils a taste of the nutritious and varied meals they can expect when they join us. Schools represented included Hurlingham School, Broomwood Prep, Newton Prep, among others, reflecting the broad appeal of Thames Christian School. We look forward to welcoming them back in September and supporting them in their academic and personal growth.
